This required training course provides a comprehensive overview of California’s mandated reporting laws as they apply to professionals working with children. Participants will learn how to identify signs of child abuse and neglect, understand their legal obligations as mandated reporters, and gain confidence in making reports to the appropriate authorities. The course includes definitions of various forms of abuse, clarifies what constitutes “reasonable suspicion,” and outlines step-by-step reporting procedures. Through real-world hypotheticals and legal references, the training empowers staff to act responsibly and protect vulnerable populations.

At the end of the course, participants will complete a brief quiz to assess understanding and reinforce key takeaways.
